Rainy Spring Days

A grey sky awaits

Away from life

From sound and light

Producing delight

Solitude

That grows in silence

Words

That rest on empty mileage

They exist

A void, an abyss

To tumble and toss

It’s a trick, thick

With indecision and novelty

Revolving around minds unseen

Words that live

Alive inside

A head full of white lies

Just Iike a grey sky

Thoughts floating

Like passerby

-

Of forests and flowers and fauna and spring. Of meadows and all the beauty they bring.

Of flora and fauna and flowering delight. Of lovebirds singing through darkest night. In hours of trouble the moon doth shine bright.

I wrote these 2 poems at the end of June when I wrote my end of year appreciation to my Lit teacher Mrs. Greer.

I am digging up my poems from 2021 and earlier. Here is one of my favorites.
