Starlight

Enhanced and charmed

By dazzling starlight

Betwixt by words

On a full moon night

Graced by stars

Peering eyes

Can spot peaking in the skies

For musky, coal

Darkish grey

Resides in air

And washes away

The pinks and blues

Forlorn, foregone

Absence of light lives forever on

The sky is alight with glittering flame

Red-hot white dots, famed in name

Big Dipper, they call one

A constellation two

Herds of stars

Hack away and hew

At the bedazzling sky

Empty she might seem

But full of greatness

As the stars gleam

White and bright

In thickest of night

But alight our souls on fire
