Winter whispers

Snowflakes drift

In clearest day

And I watch

Away, away

Far away from any town

From any light

Where sounds drown

My thoughts and words

That rest in mind

And kill and kindle frozen time

For fond delight

We share those words

Like snow forming cold numbness atop tongues

Frostbite burns

It’s a tingle, a shiver

A wonderful surprise

To twisted treats

Gracing our eyes

I wrote these 2 poems at the end of June when I wrote my end of year appreciation to my Lit teacher Mrs. Greer.
